CNC Programmer I
About The Position
The CNC Programmer I supports the programming team by creating and modifying CNC programs for machined parts and assisting with documentation and program verification under guidance from senior programmers or manufacturing engineers. The role develops programs for CNC mills and lathes using CAM software, creates setup documentation and tool lists, and assists with program simulation, first-article support, and basic troubleshooting. It also updates existing programs for minor design or process changes, maintains organized program and tool data, learns advanced programming techniques, supports continuous improvement efforts, and follows safety and quality procedures.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of CNC programming or advanced machining experience.
- Basic proficiency in CAM software and understanding of G-code.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
- Willingness to learn multi-axis programming and oil and gas component requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on machining experience.
- Familiarity with Mastercam, Espirit, or similar software.
