About The Position

Lloyd Richards Personnel is currently seeking experienced CNC Plasma Operators for one of our valued manufacturing partners in the Tulsa area. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled manufacturing professionals who have experience operating CNC plasma cutting equipment and take pride in producing high-quality components with precision and accuracy. This role plays a critical part in the manufacturing process by ensuring materials are cut accurately, production schedules are maintained, and quality standards are consistently achieved.

Requirements

  • Experience operating CNC plasma cutting systems and automated cutting equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and shop prints.
  • Strong understanding of measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and layout equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining production goals.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC Plasma Operator experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience working with structural steel, plate steel, or fabricated metal components preferred.
  • Burny 10 operating systems.
  • Hypertherm HPR260XD plasma cutting systems.
  • Structural steel fabrication environments.
  • Heavy industrial manufacturing.
  • Overhead crane and rigging operations.
  • Material handling equipment and forklift operation.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting equipment according to production requirements and engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and technical documents.
  • Verify material dimensions and specifications prior to processing.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality, accuracy, and production efficiency.
  • Measure and inspect finished components using tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Perform routine machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Load and unload materials utilizing overhead cranes, magnets, suction lifts, and material handling equipment.
  • Follow production schedules and prioritize work according to manufacturing demands.
  • Identify and report equipment issues, material discrepancies, or quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and operational standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and production teams to support overall manufacturing objectives.
