Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.
  • Ability to work will in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
  • Basic understanding of computers.
  • Reading, writing and simple math skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successfully complete all training and safety programs for the following: Plasma burning table, Head Burner, Pneumatic tools.
  • Accurately use tape measures, levels, scales, caliper, and micrometer.

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in related industry is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform all safety checks at the start of their shift, including all cranes and tools, and complete the necessary documentation. Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.
  • Proper use of air/plasma.
  • Operation of all applicable pneumatic tools as required.
  • Completing all relevant paperwork as needed for burning processes.
  • Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and or other identifying marks as required.
  • Position and secure work pieces using hoists or cranes.
  • Replacement of fuel, oxygen cylinders where applicable.
  • Upkeep of all burning hardware and replacement of consumables as needed.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Monitor equipment operation to ensure that products are not flawed.
  • Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods.
  • Selection of raw materials from indoor stock and yard stock.
  • Material handling – operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed. Successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of this equipment.
