Requirements

High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.
Ability to work will in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
Basic understanding of computers.
Reading, writing and simple math skills.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Successfully complete all training and safety programs for the following: Plasma burning table, Head Burner, Pneumatic tools.
Accurately use tape measures, levels, scales, caliper, and micrometer.

Work experience in related industry is an asset

Responsibilities

Perform all safety checks at the start of their shift, including all cranes and tools, and complete the necessary documentation. Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.
Proper use of air/plasma.
Operation of all applicable pneumatic tools as required.
Completing all relevant paperwork as needed for burning processes.
Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and or other identifying marks as required.
Position and secure work pieces using hoists or cranes.
Replacement of fuel, oxygen cylinders where applicable.
Upkeep of all burning hardware and replacement of consumables as needed.
Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
Monitor equipment operation to ensure that products are not flawed.
Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods.
Selection of raw materials from indoor stock and yard stock.
Material handling – operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed. Successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of this equipment.
