Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of CNC machining or CNC operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working understanding of machining processes, tooling, offsets, and inspection techniques.
Ability to independently operate established CNC programs and perform repeat setups.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

Nice To Haves

Technical school or vocational machining training preferred.
Willingness to obtain knowledge of FAA requirements, RSQM procedures, and manufacturing quality standards.
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machines using approved and established machining programs.
Load and unload materials and parts while ensuring proper work holding and machine setup integrity.
Independently perform repeat job setups including fixtures, tooling, and work offsets.
Monitor machine operation to maintain continuous run time and production efficiency.
Perform in-process inspections and dimensional verification using approved measuring instruments and inspection tools.
Identify quality concerns, dimensional discrepancies, or machine issues and immediately stop production and escalate concerns to leadership.
Make minor machine adjustments including offset corrections as required.
Verify completed parts meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all work is completed in compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
Safely operate shop equipment and hand tools including saws, grinders, drill presses, and related machinery.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all department safety procedures.
Develop working knowledge of company procedures, process specifications, IOPs, and FAA requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned not specifically covered herein.
