About The Position

B&B Manufacturing, LLC., a Solve IMG company, produces and distributes custom and standard synchronous drive products that include timing belts, timing belt pulleys, roller chain sprockets, gears and related parts for the power transmission and precision mechanical component industries. We supply distributors and manufacturers with thousands of various components. As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced Cell Operator to add to our 2nd shift manufacturing team. We will train the right candidate. Training is done on 1st shift for approximately 2 weeks. $2 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift. Monday-Thursday 330pm-230am. OT available.

Requirements

Knowledgeable in the verification of parts produced with the use of varied measurement gauges which would allow for modifying off-sets to meet customer engineering drawing specifications.
Knowledgeable in the use of HAAS controls.
Knowledgeable in arithmetic, algebra, geometry to generate the correct finished dimensions.
Must possess skills in: monitoring performance of self or organization to make improvements or take corrective action; watching gauges, dial, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly; Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems; conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance; controlling operations of equipment or systems; identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Good listening, problem sensitivity, quick response reaction time, arm-hand steadiness and rate control.
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining and entering accurate information in B&B ERP system.
Analyzing information, and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers via telephone, written form, e-mail or in person.
Must follow all safety procedures and policies as mandated by B&B including but not restricted to wearing safety eye protection and equipment and enforcing adherence by others.
Ability to stand on hard surface for the entire work shift.
Frequent walking.
The ability to meet strict deadlines or be able to communicate those that cannot be met.

Nice To Haves

Experience programming Haas machines is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

Run parts as directed with the ability to interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Run multiple lathes as programmed with the ability to change inserts and offsets. Use basic math to interface with the machine.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to documented and programmed standards.
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning and facing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
