About The Position

Holley Performance Products is hiring a CNC Operator in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The CNC Operator operates and monitors conventional lathes, drill presses, mills, CNC lathes, and CNC mills to produce precision parts. The role requires following machine-specific safety standards, interpreting technical documents, measuring and inspecting machined parts, and documenting production, quality, and maintenance information. The position is on the second shift, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Two years of experience working in a machine shop environment.
• Basic mechanical abilities and math skills.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and perform quality inspections.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions, monitor operations, and react promptly when nonconforming conditions occur.
• Hearing and vision sufficient to perform assigned work safely and accurately.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, bend and stretch, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Eye-hand coordination to operate equipment and inspect parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machining equipment safely and follow safety standards for each machine to prevent injury and equipment damage.
• Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data.
• Perform basic math calculations and measure machined parts using calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, and thread gauges.
• Perform and document required quality inspections to verify that machined parts meet specifications.
• Respond promptly to nonconforming parts or operating conditions.
• Clean and deburr workpieces as needed.
• Check coolant and oil levels daily and document maintenance needs.
• Clean machines and the work area at the end of each shift.
• Complete paper or electronic logs documenting production, scrap, quality issues, and maintenance needs.
