CNC Operator - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Taurex is hiring an experienced 5-axis CNC machinist for a permanent, full-time, direct-hire position on the second shift in Conroe, Texas. This is not an entry-level role. The company seeks a top-level operator with strong manufacturing knowledge, relevant CNC operation experience, and the ability and willingness to complete projects in a timely manner. The role involves operating 5-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes. The candidate must develop machining strategies, understand CNC tool selection and how tool speeds and feeds affect manufacturing cycle time, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively so jobs are processed efficiently.
Requirements
- Experienced 5-axis CNC machinist; this is not an entry-level position.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and a relevant background in CNC operation.
- Knowledge of feeds and speeds, cutting tool selection and types, cutting insert types, and lathe and mill tool holders.
- Knowledge of 5-axis and 3+2-axis machining, lathe turning operations, geometric and machine tolerancing, work-holding and fixturing, and part setup.
- Ability to meet deadlines and see projects through in a timely fashion.
- Strong communication skills.
