About The Position

Anduril is seeking a CNC Operator for its Production team at the Morrisville, North Carolina facility. The role involves high-precision machining on the production floor and collaboration with engineering, quality, and assembly teams to build hardware. Work includes complex machine setups, tight-tolerance machining of advanced materials, tool control, foreign object debris (FOD) prevention, in-process inspection, and machine maintenance. The operator will also support development and adoption of advanced manufacturing processes as the company’s machining capabilities expand.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a CNC operator.
• At least 5 years of experience with fixture setups.
• Clear understanding of G and M codes.
• High level of familiarity with multi-axis and 3D machining.
• Experience with CNC lathes.
• Experience with 3- or 4-axis vertical mills.
• High level of tooling and fixture experience.
• Ability to take ownership of the entire manufacturing process from start to finish.
• Ability to adapt between R&D and short production.
• Ability to multitask.
• U.S. Person status, required to access export-controlled data.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Must work full-time on site at Anduril’s Morrisville, North Carolina facility.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software.
• Experience with Fanuc, Fagor, HAAS, or Siemens controls.
• Familiarity with machining composites.
• High level of GD&T knowledge.
• 3D printing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis routers.
• Interpret CAD design models.
• Implement work-holding and fixture methods, including vacuum fixtures.
• Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments during manufacturing.
• Perform in-process measurement and GD&T inspections.
• Support complex machine setups, tight-tolerance machining, tool control, FOD prevention, in-process inspection, and machine maintenance.
• Support development and adoption of new advanced manufacturing processes.
• Take ownership of the manufacturing process from start to finish.
