About The Position

TCDC is an employee-owned company with over 100 years in business and three locations. This position is for a CNC Operator with both entry-level and skilled openings available. The role is FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly) and reports to the CNC Department Manager. The schedule is either 1st Shift (6am-4:30pm M-Th) or 2nd Shift (4:30pm-3am M-Th). The wage scale is $17.25-$25.50/hr DOQ.

• HS Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Listen to machines during operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and notify appropriate personnel.
• Stop machines to remove finished workpieces, or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences.
• Lift workpieces to machines manually, or with hoists or cranes.
• Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation.
• Responsible for knowing and following all environmental, health and safety rules, policies, and procedures for work area and takes responsibility to assure that personal work activity is conducted in such a way so as to not affect the safety of themselves or others.
• All other duties as assigned.
