About The Position

Dixon Quick Coupling, a proud division of The Dixon Group, is hiring highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operators to join their dynamic team in Dallas, NC. In this role, you will operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) mills and lathes to produce precision metal components and ensure all products meet strict drawing specifications. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can recognize machining issues, make necessary adjustments, and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • 2+ years of CNC Operator (Mill or Lathe) experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is highly preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in utilizing precision measuring tools, and a solid understanding of shop mathematics.
  • A reliable self-starter with a great attitude, excellent attendance, and a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to tasks.
  • Must be a dedicated team player motivated by goal completion and producing quality work.
  • Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds over the course of the shift.
  • Must be willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe shoes.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate multiple CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to produce high-quality precision metal components.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints to ensure accurate machining and production.
  • Inspect finished products and components to drawing specifications utilizing measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Monitor machine operations, recognize machining issues, and make necessary adjustments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform routine daily maintenance activities on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Maintain flexibility to handle rotating assignments based on production needs.
  • Actively participate in training to expand your knowledge of Dixon products and manufacturing processes.
  • Champion workplace safety by adhering to all protocols around heavy equipment and co-workers.
