About The Position

Dixon Quick Coupling, a division of The Dixon Group, is seeking a CNC Operator for their Dallas, NC location. This role involves operating CNC mills and lathes to produce precision metal components according to strict drawing specifications. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, capable of identifying and resolving machining issues, and thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in utilizing precision measuring tools, and a solid understanding of shop mathematics.
  • A reliable self-starter with a great attitude, excellent attendance, and a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to tasks.
  • Must be a dedicated team player motivated by goal completion and producing quality work.
  • Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds over the course of the shift.
  • Must be willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe shoes.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of CNC Operator (Mill or Lathe) experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate multiple CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to produce high-quality precision metal components.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints to ensure accurate machining and production.
  • Inspect finished products and components to drawing specifications utilizing measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Monitor machine operations, recognize machining issues, and make necessary adjustments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform routine daily maintenance activities on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Maintain flexibility to handle rotating assignments based on production needs.
  • Actively participate in training to expand knowledge of Dixon products and manufacturing processes.
  • Champion workplace safety by adhering to all protocols around heavy equipment and co-workers.
