About The Position

Performs day-to-day machine operations in a machine center production environment to produce titanium parts. This role regularly partners with CNC Operators I-III and interfaces with quality assurance and quality control to maintain the quality of work produced. The operator will perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work and utilize a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.

Requirements

High school minimum, GED or equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Basic knowledge of safety and hazardous material regulations.
Basic CNC programming knowledge, enough to upload/download programs to machines.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
20/20 vision with or without aid.
Basic English proficiency at a High School level both in oral communications and reading comprehension.
Ability to work directly from blueprints and drawings.
Technical skills to produce a finished screw machine part after the machine is set up.
Basic data entry skills and familiarity with PC.
Comfortable with use of screw machine production electronic documentation system.
1-2 years experience working with CNC Swiss type machines, or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

College, technical, or trade preferred.
Knowledge retention of FDA Quality System requirements ("Good Manufacturing Practices") and ISO 9001 requirements after training.
SAP skills a plus.

Responsibilities

Interface with quality assurance and quality control to maintain quality of work produced.
Perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
Regular utilization of a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
Upload/download CNC programs to machines.
Independently load bar stock and change tools such as center drill without assistance.
Perform tool offsets in order to make a part according to blueprint.
Basic data entry and familiarity with PC.
Operate one or more types of machine.
Perform simple set-ups on one or more types of machines.
