About The Position

Dixon Fire, a proud division of The Dixon Group, is looking for a CNC Operator to support our manufacturing operations. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the CNC function and grow with a great company—we will train the right person! In this role, you'll learn to set up and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) lathes to produce high-quality metal components that meet precise specifications. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. This position also offers opportunities to perform additional tasks, such as operating a laser marker or assisting with light assembly to support customer demand and expand your skill set. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience as a CNC operator or a strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn (we will train the right candidate!)
Skilled or willing to learn the use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Strong reading, math, and data entry abilities
General computer proficiency
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for the full shift

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with G‑code programming or blueprints is a plus, but not required
Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls preferred

Responsibilities

Learn to set up and operate CNC machines
Identify and resolve machining or program issues
Perform inspections to ensure components meet drawing and quality specifications
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Complete basic daily maintenance on machines
Rotate between assignments as needed to support production
Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing training
