About The Position

3form is seeking a full-time CNC Router Operator for custom architectural projects. The role involves the set-up, operation, and maintenance of CNC machinery to complete custom projects according to specified drawings. The operator will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, with a focus on excellent quality, and while maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience using a CNC Router in a woodworking factory.
  • Ability to set up and change tools.
  • Basic knowledge of G-CODE.
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, budgets, and provide quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work between the hours of 9pm to 6am.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Frequently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally.
  • Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads in excess of 50lbs Occasionally.
  • Must be able to work on your feet including, standing for the entire length of the shift, which are up to 10 hours.
  • Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment, which includes frequently climbing ladders, bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Must be able to see / hear to visually and audibly acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, perform quality inspections, and equipment inspections.
  • Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of the upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force.
  • Must be able to push, pull up to 100 pounds of force on a regular basis, including moving pallets, carts, glass/plastic sheets, and boxes using a hand truck or other similar equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret fabrication drawings, bill of materials and work manuals.
  • Set up tools per specified programming and cutting requirements.
  • Adjust machine settings for tool compensations and material types.
  • Check completed parts for quality of cut and critical dimensions.
  • Identify concerns or problems with current design or manufacturing process.
  • Perform daily, weekly machine PM’s.
