About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. You will work from blueprints and CAD designs, program the machines, monitor the machining process, and ensure the final products meet strict quality standards. Safety and preventative maintenance are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Ability to translate blueprints, CAD designs, and work orders.
  • Proficiency in calculating dimensions and setting up cutting tools, attachments, and raw materials.
  • Experience with loading or writing instructions (G-code) into CNC machines.
  • Ability to conduct initial test runs for accuracy.
  • Skill in loading and unloading workpieces.
  • Capability to supervise machining processes and make real-time adjustments to offsets and feeds.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Knowledge of daily preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Translate blueprints, CAD designs, and work orders to calculate dimensions and set up the correct cutting tools, attachments, and raw materials.
  • Load or write instructions (often via G-code) into the CNC machine and conduct initial test runs to ensure accuracy before mass production.
  • Load and unload workpieces, supervise the active machining process, and make real-time adjustments to offsets and feeds to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify they meet quality standards.
  • Perform light, daily preventative maintenance on machinery and keep a strictly enforced clean and safe work environment.
