About The Position

The Village Companies – MCL Industries Division (Fabrication) is seeking a CNC Operator to join their team. This role is responsible for operating CNC machines to fabricate parts from metal or plastic, meeting customer specifications and production schedules. The position involves programming, machining, quality verification, and maintaining equipment. Requirements

Technical Degree preferred with 3 years of CNC machine operator experience
Mechanical Background a plus
ISO 9001 Knowledge
Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
Forklift certification a plus
Computer programming skills as it relates to CNC machinery
Mechanical skills with the ability to accurately measure using proper tooling
Problem solving and Continual Improvement mind set
The ability to pay close attention to detail
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs for short periods of time
Ability to maneuver around the CNC Machine (bending and twisting)
Must be able to stand for several hours per day, sit, bend, and lift.

Responsibilities

Programming first article specifications into the CNC Machine using customer drawings.
Reading and following a schedule to meet customer demands and ensure delivery on time.
Utilizing the bill of material to accurately select raw materials for processing.
Delivering finished machined parts to the next operation of production in a timely fashion.
Manually machining material utilizing power tools, calipers, and other measuring devices when the CNC machine cannot be used.
Verifying settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
Maintaining specifications by observing the drilling, grooving, and cutting process, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting, adjusting, and reprogramming controls as needed.
Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
