About The Position

The CNC Operator machines aluminum and brass forgings into finished products. The operator follows and maintains quality standards throughout the process and uses standard work practices and safe work habits to support efficient and safe production.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
Ability to perform repetitive work.
Ability to use hand tools as required.
Demonstrated ability to work with others as part of a team.
Basic math proficiency.

Nice To Haves

Previous CNC or machining experience.
Ability to read micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

Machine forgings into finished products.
Maintain run efficiencies and quality standards for each machine.
Promptly communicate health, safety, quality, and efficiency issues to the supervisor.
Meet quality standards required by customer specifications.
Operate multiple CNC lathes and mills.
Follow company procedures and policies.
Assist other operators.
Communicate production operations in writing and verbally.
Attach appropriate labels and tags to products.
Pack finished products into correct totes.
Track production through the GEMBA process and data collection system.
Notify the supervisor of mechanical or material issues.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
