About The Position

Steel Tool & Engineering is seeking a CNC Operator to join their team. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to manufacture aerospace components to exacting standards. The operator will configure machines, load materials, modify G-code, make programming adjustments, perform precision inspections, troubleshoot equipment, and conduct routine maintenance. Safety and compliance are paramount, as is meeting productivity requirements and producing aerospace-quality results.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to identify non-conforming parts
  • Ability to make your own tools (e.g., chuck jaws or fixtures), specific to your jobs
  • Ability to form cooperative relations with your supervisor
  • Ability to consistently work to tight tolerances
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to meet productivity requirements
  • Ability to set up and run horizontal and/or VTL lathes
