About The Position

Located at our Byron Center, MI location, the position of CNC Operator is in place for the purpose of installing glass and door bottoms, packaging, and completing other value-add processes to doors being cut by the CNC. The associate will be responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, and completion of these daily operations. Installing glass and other door components. Ensuring the proper quality, accuracy and timeliness of the prepping of all doors for specials, line, and finish. Properly staging all doors for production or shipping. Maintaining the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the CNC area, assigned by the CNC Supervisor. Working with shipping to pull individual components for customer orders. Ensuring that all production areas are properly supplied for the day’s work. Performing other tasks as assigned by the CNC Supervisor. This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance for uniform, protective footwear, and PPE.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently at all times
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to accurately read orders and stage material to internal customer needs
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to “do things right the first time”
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lb
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day

Nice To Haves

  • Prior woodworking would be considered a plus; router, miter saws, table saws
  • Prior CNC operation would be considered a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of exterior doors would be considered a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities
