About The Position

Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 1st shift CNC Operator/Setup Trainee to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 301. This position has a starting hourly wage of $24.57/hr. This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The first half ($500.00) is payable after successful completion of the orientation period and the second half ($500.00) is payable after one year of employment. The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturday as well. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training in performing set up.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, Blue prints and procedure manuals.
The ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
The ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal effectively with routine problems and situations.

Responsibilities

Operation of various types of CNC machines producing machined parts.
Requires ability to comprehend verbal/written instructions and perform them.
Requires ability to comprehend/interpret blueprints and specifications.
Knowledge of use of micrometers, calipers and fixed gauges.
Maintaining operation of machine process.
Perform removal and resetting of tooling independently.
Perform full set ups with assistance.
Requires ability to read and follow program movements.
Requires routine maintenance of machines including oil and lubrication.
Maintaining cleanliness work area and equipment in a prescribed manner.
Personal measuring and hand tools are required, list will be provided at time of interview, employee evaluation or upon request.
Work subject to final inspection.
Other duties may be assigned.
Training others of these skills also required.
