About The Position

Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 1st shift CNC Operator/Setup Trainee to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 301. This position has a starting hourly wage of $24.57/hr. This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The first half ($500.00) is payable after successful completion of the orientation period and the second half ($500.00) is payable after one year of employment. The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturday as well.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training in performing set up.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, Blue prints and procedure manuals.
  • The ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
  • The ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal effectively with routine problems and situations.

Responsibilities

  • Operation of various types of CNC machines producing machined parts.
  • Requires ability to comprehend verbal/written instructions and perform them.
  • Requires ability to comprehend/interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Knowledge of use of micrometers, calipers and fixed gauges.
  • Maintaining operation of machine process.
  • Perform removal and resetting of tooling independently.
  • Perform full set ups with assistance.
  • Requires ability to read and follow program movements.
  • Requires routine maintenance of machines including oil and lubrication.
  • Maintaining cleanliness work area and equipment in a prescribed manner.
  • Personal measuring and hand tools are required, list will be provided at time of interview, employee evaluation or upon request.
  • Work subject to final inspection.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Training others of these skills also required.
