About The Position

Gemini is looking for a 2nd shift Plaque/Cast Manufacturing Specialist Team Member to join the team at our location in Cannon Falls, MN! Wage Range: $22.59 - $29.91 (posted range is inclusive of an additional 10% shift premium) Location: Cannon Falls, MN Type: Full Time Consistent Schedule: 3:30 pm - 11:00pm, Monday through Friday Overtime is scheduled as needed. The 2nd shift position does include a 10% shift differential that is included in the posted range

Requirements

  • Manufacturing Experience
  • Automotive Paint Experience
  • High level of mechanical aptitude
  • Foundry related experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent demonstrated competency through work experience and 1 – 2 years of experience in a production environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of finishing metal products, including sawing, sanding, drilling and tapping, hand finishing, blasting, stroke sanding and polishing.
  • Operate waterjet cutting technology.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of all finishing department related equipment.
  • Read and understand blueprints and shop drawings in determining the nature of the products to be manufactured.
  • Coordinate steps necessary to complete project with sales and shop personnel.
  • Maintain assembly supply inventory.
  • Complete all steps necessary in creating a finished product.
  • Mix appropriate quantity of paint per work order, ensure that the paint is properly mixed as indicated by local conditions and matching paint chips or samples if required by the job.
  • Spray products as required, ensuring that paint is applied in a manner consistent with customer requirements and company quality standards.
  • Apply powder coat insuring proper texture and color.
  • Involvement with masking for multi-color projects.
  • Paint repair, wet sanding, and buffing.
  • Maintains required records of production processes and equipment as instructed.
  • Maintains an awareness of how process improvements can be achieved and makes related recommendations.
  • Follows all safe work practices as outlined in Employee Manual and Safety Orientation. Completes all required safety training and participates in monthly connection meetings.
  • Drive forklift and other material handling equipment as required.
  • Will participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement efforts in the plant.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
  • Maintains responsibility for the safety of oneself and other employees in the work area.
  • Maintains a neat working environment.
  • Perform similar or related various duties as required.
