About The Position

Cadrex is searching for a CNC Operator II to operate both manual and CNC machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to medium sized components as either as a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled. This role requires proficiency in machine setup, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and CNC machine operation, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. The position involves working with various materials and ensuring the accuracy of completed products.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator with at least 2-3 years of experience in CNC machining operations
• Proficient in machine setup, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments.
• Knowledge of G-code programming is a plus
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and CNC machine operation
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts as required
• Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Highschool Diploma

Responsibilities

• Operates CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies
• Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
• Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices
• Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools
• Operates lift equipment as needed
• Uses precision measuring tools as required
• Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed
• Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required
• Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspects
• Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
• Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets
• Proficiently set up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials.
• Verify machine settings and program parameters for accuracy
