Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Commitment to working safely and understanding all safety procedures.
  • Follow process documents, assuring product is processed according to proper routings, specifications, and that the quantity and style are correct.
  • Work to meet daily departmental production goals.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Communicate safety, quality, and product issues with supervisor, team members, and across shifts.
  • Inspect and modify tooling as required.
  • Solve moderate to complex problems using learned knowledge of insert style, production processes, and in some cases, coordination with technical experts.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required: Safety glasses with side-shields, safety shoes, gloves, and cut resistant gloves when necessary.
  • Standing, intermittent walking, reaching, sitting, bending and lifting product weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds.
  • Use of hands and fingers for fine motor tasks, to operate machinery, and handle tools safely.
  • Visual acuity is necessary for reading gauges, inspecting products, and ensuring quality standards.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks are essential.

  • 2 year technical degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate multiple machines.
  • Perform computer-controlled setups using HMI to adjust programs or machines.
  • Load and unload product from multiple machines.
  • Gage product to ensure proper dimensions.
  • Scope product to verify visual characteristics and defects.
  • Check product samples using assigned inspection tools and record inspection results according to process standards.
  • Place product into appropriate racks.
  • Separate scrap from good product and document accurately.
  • Scan correct production information.
  • Maintain tooling used in machines.
  • Train new operators when required.
  • Troubleshoot quality and machine issues from moderate to complex.
