About The Position

This role involves preparing, maintaining, and operating CNC machines, with a specific focus on 5-axis CNC machines. The operator will interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand task specifications and desired outcomes, translating these into machine commands. Responsibilities include managing material, operating multiple machines simultaneously, loading/unloading, deburring, inspecting parts, and performing finishing tasks such as sanding and packaging. The role also requires conducting test runs, setting up machines for production, supervising machine operations, and ensuring daily machinery maintenance. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to production schedules, and completing required documentation are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

Experience operating CNC machines, specifically 5-axis CNC machines.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Proficiency in translating instructions into computer commands for CNC machines.
Skill in multitasking and operating multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
Experience with loading/unloading CNC machines.
Proficiency in deburring and inspecting parts.
Experience with sanding, labeling, and packaging.
Ability to operate a Table Saw and/or Band Saw.
Knowledge of performing test runs and making adjustments.
Ability to inspect and measure finished products.
Experience in daily machinery maintenance.
Ability to maintain a lean and organized work area.
Understanding of production schedule timelines.
Ability to maintain housekeeping requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare, maintain and operate CNC machines, including 5 axes CNC machines.
Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
Identify and pull correct material required to fill order.
Multitask and operate two CNC machines simultaneously to produce parts for different orders.
Load/Unload CNC machine with material/parts being produced.
Deburr and inspect parts produced according to customer drawing/requirements.
Perform sanding, deburring, labeling, packaging, filling out required forms, and cutting material.
Cut material on Table Saw and/or Band Saw.
Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Maintain a lean and organized work area as required for functional and safe work environment.
Complete assigned tasks within production schedule timeline.
Responsible for maintaining housekeeping requirements within assigned area/s.
