About The Position

While upholding Hoyt’s Policies and Mission and Vision Statements, the CNC Operator Level 1 is responsible for safe and proficient operation of the CNC machines, deburring and inspection of manufacturing handles and small parts for bows. Level 1 is familiar with machining terminology and machining principles. Works to meet the schedule, reduce scrap and communicates ways for shop to improve.

Requirements

  • Lift 50 lbs.
  • Stand 10 Hours
  • Wear N95 Respirator As Required
  • Work in an environment that requires safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toe boots.
  • Understand coolant % and how to maintain coolant
  • Good communication skills
  • Familiar with inspections gages
  • Able load/unload parts in fixture
  • Able to accurately document part measurements
  • Familiar with 6S
  • Familiar with terminology used in key performance indicators and metrics
  • High school education
  • Ability to determine if the work meets the quality standards set by Hoyt.
  • Must make minor decisions and solve problems related to meeting daily schedule requirements.
  • Ability to interact with other employees and work as a member of a team.
  • Responsible for maintaining a cohesive work group

Nice To Haves

  • Previous CNC machine operation experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe operation of machines.
  • Ensures efficient material flow through the production area.
  • Performs inspection at designated AQL levels.
  • Maintains proper care of equipment and machinery, as well as cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Cleans and organizes designated area within the machine shop to conform to MSP standard.
  • Report scrap and non-conformances.
  • Performs other duties as instructed by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
