CNC Milling/Turning Machinist (2nd Shift)

BarnesEast Granby, CT
Onsite

About The Position

This position is for a CNC Milling/Turning Machinist on the 2nd shift, which runs Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. A 15% shift differential is effective for this shift. The role requires the ability to run 3, 4, and 5 axis milling and/or turning machines, and potentially run multiple machines simultaneously as they are part of manufacturing cells/machining centers. The machinist will work with hard metals such as Inconel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel, and must be able to read English and interpret symbols on operation sheets. Proficiency in mathematics and the ability to use a calculator are essential. Experience with Fanuc controls, making offsets, loading parts onto fixtures, and operating hoists for loading parts onto machines is required. The machinist must also be able to read and interpret CNC Programs at the machine, read tool sheets, set up tools, use precision measuring tools (gauges, swing gauges, calipers, micrometers), and be familiar with the operation of Right-Angle Heads. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and the ability to work within tight tolerances (such as thousandths) are mandatory.
