This is a 1st shift opportunity in the Milling Department and involves performing a series of complex machine operations. Typical job runs are 1-10 parts. Requirements

High school diploma required
5 years of CNC mill set-up and programming/editing experience required
Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls are also essential
Willingness to move between work centers

Nice To Haves

advanced education or apprenticeship preferred
Mazak experience preferred
Strong skills in editing G-code and manual programming in Mazatrol preferred

Responsibilities

Retrieve CNC programs and load to the machine
Set up, load, and operate CNC machines to produce parts per prints
Edit in G-code and manually program using Mazatrol Control or other applicable machine control
Set up fixtures and come up with setups on machine
Perform first piece and in-process quality inspections
Set up cutters in holders and adjust height and length
Read drawings/prints to identify operations, specification, and tolerances
Meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements
Use various hand tools to finish parts and check
Use measuring devices like micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications are met
Perform operator maintenance tasks like oiling, greasing, and cleaning the machine (5S)
Use forklift or crane to store and retrieve fixtures and other essential equipment
Operate other machines in the department as needed
