This position is for 2nd Shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at our Agawam, MA facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/(GED) and 3+ years job specific experience.
  • Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment
  • Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations)

Responsibilities

  • Produce small to medium-size precision machined parts by operating computer numerical control (CNC) lathes, milling machines and bridgeports.
  • Loads, operates, cleans and maintains CNC machines and other shop equipment as directed.
  • Assures that parts are made to specification to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Verifies settings by measuring specifications on work pieces.
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations.
  • Taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Responsible for following all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices.
  • Other duties as assigned
