About The Position
This position is for a CNC Milling Machinist on the 1st shift, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The role involves operating CNC multi-axis milling machines, setting up and changing over jobs, and working with hard metals. Candidates with a good attitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an aerospace or high precision manufacturing environment preferred.
- 3+ years of experience operating CNC multi-axis Milling machine preferred.
- Experience setting up and changing over jobs on CNC equipment.
- Exceptional mechanical ability and strong mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to solve complex issues.
- Proficient in mathematics and able to use a calculator
- Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing knowledge
- Ability to work within tight tolerances such as thousandths

Responsibilities
- Run 3, 4 and 5 axis milling and/or turning machines
- Run multiple machines simultaneously where possible/feasible
- Work with hard metals such as Inconel, Titanium and Stainless Steel
- Read English and interpret symbols on operation sheets
- Use Fanuc controls and make offsets as required by the program
- Load part onto a fixture
- Load parts and fixtures onto hoists and operate hoist to load part onto machine
- Read and interpret CNC Programs at the machine
- Read tool sheets and set up tools for use on a job or part
- Use precision measuring tools such as gauges, swing gauges, calipers, and micrometers
- Operate Right-Angle Heads
