About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator to join our team in East Aurora, NY. This is a contract-to-permanent position with a competitive hourly rate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in the use of CNC machinery and related tools.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and metalworking principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as CAD drawings and blueprints.
• Basic computer skills for programming and operating CNC machines.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certificate in machining or CNC operations is preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience with Mazak CNC 5 axis Mills
• Experience with various materials such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
• Previous exposure to quality assurance processes and standards in a machining setting.
• Familiarity with CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine specifications and machining processes.
• Conduct quality control checks of finished products to ensure they meet stringent specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery.
• Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize workflow and improve processes.
• Keep work area organized and maintain safety standards within the workspace.
• Document production processes and maintain records of work performed and materials used.
