About The Position

This role involves setting up and operating CNC milling machines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality standards are met. The machinist will collaborate with engineering to optimize part programs, refine processes, and manage tool life and cycle times. The position requires a strong understanding of GD&T, print interpretation, and advanced inspection methods. Support for business needs, including attendance, overtime, and punctuality, is expected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous manufacturing experience required.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and basic print interpretation required.
  • Advanced Inspection Method knowledge required.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to own basic hand and quality measuring tools (Including but not limited to: Mic, calipers, indicator).

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with FANUC, YASNAC and HAAS controls is desirable.
  • Basic tool application knowledge along with feed and speeds calculations are preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and collaborate within a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Apply knowledge of basic GD&T symbols, meaning, and functions to inspect work and ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Prove out and refine new part programs, collaborating with engineering on updates to feeds/speeds and work holding to establish repeatable processes.
  • Revise CNC programs as needed to optimize tool life and cycle time.
  • Create and revise basic CNC Mill programs as needed.
  • Perform 5-axis set-up, demonstrating working knowledge of Dynamic Work Shift or Tilted Work Plane.
  • Review and follow written documents such as work instructions and job aids.
  • Support business needs regarding attendance, overtime, punctuality, and shift adherence.
  • Work overtime and Saturdays as needed.
