CNC Mill Operator - Manual |Cedar Rapids|HIRING IMMEDIATELY Compensation Competitive starting pay range of $28.94-$30.88 per hour (after 12 months), paid weekly Pay: Competitive starting pay rate based on experience and qualifications Increases: Eligible for annual wage increases Available Shift 7:00 am-3:30 pm Job Description: Sets up and operate a variety of manual equipment that a machinist would use. The equipment that the individual will use includes the following: manual vertical mill, drill press, radial drill, hone, and Blanchard grinder. The person is responsible to use this equipment to machine parts to specifications. The person will observe machine operations and verifies accuracy of machine work pieces by use of a variety of precision measurement tools.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-year A.A.S. Degree – CNC Machining Technology or 3-5 years of CNC Machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
Nice To Haves
- WorkKeys Certification: National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Certificate Level or higher) preferred
- Experience operating manual mills, drill presses, radial drills, hones, and Blanchard grinders preferred
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates a variety of manual equipment that a machinist would use.
