About The Position

This position involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes and mills, with an emphasis on 3- and 5-axis milling. The operator reads blueprints, selects tools, and ensures products meet specified tolerances and quality standards. The role also includes assembly-type functions, maintaining equipment and work areas, and rotating among job assignments in various work cells.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to add and subtract and perform basic math.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to stand for 90% of the shift.

Nice To Haves

One year of previous CNC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up, lay out, and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills.
Read blueprints or job orders for product specifications and tooling instructions.
Select, position, and secure tools and workpieces.
Adjust machine settings for specified feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
Ensure machined workpieces conform to specifications.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
Follow company rules and safety policies.
Discuss errors with supervisors or engineers to clarify assembly problems.
Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools.
Meet efficiency rates and perform quality checks.
Report defective materials or questionable conditions.
Be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells.
