About The Position

Howell Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist to join our team. In our small shop environment, you will have significant ownership of your workstation, with opportunities to solve problems, optimize workflows, and drive the setup process. We specialize in the precision manufacturing of SUBSAFE defense articles, adhering to the Navy's premier quality assurance program. This role is for a self-driven individual who thrives on ownership, enjoys managing their workflow from start to finish, and finds satisfaction in producing high-quality finished products. Requirements

Must be able to set up repeat jobs on our production machines which may include lathes, grinders, mills and similar equipment.
Loading Programs
Loading Cutting Tools
Loading fixtures and vices
Cutting or boring jaws
Must be able to apply mathematics and instruments to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
Must be able to read customer drawings and interpret the design intent and plan setup accordingly.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities

Machine Set-Up following prints and specifications.
Inspect and measure your finished parts to ensure they meet the blueprint, identifying any setup-related issues before they become problems.
Maintain precise quality documentation, taking pride in the paperwork that proves your station is running at peak performance.
Maintain a safe and orderly production area.
Engage in a collaborative environment, that values the exchange of skills and ideas.
