Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, associate degree, trade school training or apprenticeship program in a mechanical discipline or tool and die making.
  • 2+ years’ operating CNC mills (preferably HAAS 3-axis)
  • Ability to read/comprehend technical prints and tolerances in metric dimensioning.
  • Proven ability to edit/verify programs on the HAAS conversational control for multi-axis parts.
  • Ability to set-up parts and cutting tools accurately.
  • Ability to develop and produce fixtures when needed.
  • Ability to inspect close tolerance part features using gage blocks, indicators, bore gages, micrometers, etc.
  • Experience in machining various materials i.e., aluminum, steel, stainless steel, tool steel, engineered plastics.
  • Ability to contribute to driving process improvements.
  • Must be prepared to work occasional overtime when required.
  • The physical strength to be able to handle weights of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce fixtures when needed.
  • Inspect close tolerance part features using gage blocks, indicators, bore gages, micrometers, etc.
  • Machine various materials i.e., aluminum, steel, stainless steel, tool steel, engineered plastics.
  • Contribute to driving process improvements.
  • Work as part of a solid team.
  • Operate with good manufacturing practices daily.
