About The Position

This position is for a CNC Mill Machinist working a weekend shift. The shift is Friday through Sunday from 4:45 am to 5:15 pm. This role is eligible for a 10% shift differential on base pay. A sign-on bonus of $4000 is offered, paid out in two installments: the first half within 30 days and the second half within 60 days of being on payroll. The position involves operating CNC milling machines, ensuring quality standards, and performing related duties.

Requirements

Knowledge of basic hand tools, including their uses and maintenance.
Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.
Ability to control the operations of machining equipment and systems.
Basic mathematics knowledge, particularly Trigonometry.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic Blueprint Reading.

Nice To Haves

2 years of experience in relevant field preferred.
5S and Lean Manufacturing training.
Documentation and Modern’s Production System.
Inspection Techniques for Machinists.
SPC Charts and Tools.
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Adjusting Boring heads.

Responsibilities

Loads, Unloads, Starts, and Stops Machines.
Sets the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process.
Watches gauges, dials, and other key indicators to make sure machines are working properly and work-pieces meet quality standards.
Monitors machines during operation in order to detect dull cutting tools and excessive vibration.
Measures dimensions of finished work-pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Calculates and sets machine movements according to drawing specs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
