As a CNC Programmer, you will play a crucial role in programming and producing parts for various sectors. Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, particularly with Mastercam.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks for documentation, procedures, and tool/fixture design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to process improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Cross-training in areas other than mill and lathe programming.
  • Cross-training in laser engraving, PCMM with laser and probe capabilities, 3D printing (FDM and SLA), and 8kw laser cutters.

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate a range of CNC machines, including vertical mills, horizontals, 5th axis, lathes, y-axis lathes, router, and mill-turn machines using Mastercam.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements for recurring parts, general work procedures, and facility enhancements.
  • Take advantage of opportunities for cross-training in various technologies, including laser engraving, PCMM with laser and probe capabilities, 3D printing (FDM and SLA), and 8kw laser cutters.
  • Create thorough documentation and procedures to support shop production using Solidworks.
  • Design and fabricate tools and fixtures as needed to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in the introduction of new parts, providing technical aid for quoting and running your own programs.
  • Occasionally run first-piece production parts for new components based on the programs you develop.
