About The Position

As the CNC Mechanic 2, you will help our maintenance team in installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. You will also perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment, carry out preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faulty machinery and diagnose the root cause of the malfunction using diagnostic tools and problem-solving abilities. These activities will all involve close collaboration with other mechanical maintenance technicians and production workers. In this role you will report to the Machine Shop Operations Manager.

Requirements

Vocational or community college degree with related coursework or equivalent experience.
2+ years of related experience required.
Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
Works well independently and with others.
Maintain safety protocols, keep tools and the workspace organized, and adhere to environmental/hazardous waste guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Oracle, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Express Maintenance, preferred.

Responsibilities

Identifying the cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
Repairing broken machines quickly and efficiently.
Performing preventive maintenance inspections and services on machines.
Thoroughly cleaning machines and machine parts, removing parts, and reinstalling as necessary.
Recording and reporting damaged, worn, or broken parts.
Oiling and lubricating moving parts on machines to ensure efficient performance.
Cleaning and organizing the inventory and maintaining shop area, parts, tools, and supplies.
Performing other assignments as needed.
