About The Position

We are seeking an experienced CNC Mazak Programmer to program and set up Mazak CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts. The role involves reading engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, optimizing machining processes, and maintaining strict quality standards. The position is full-time and located in Machesney Park, Illinois. Pay is $26–$32 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Previous experience as a CNC Mazak Programmer, CNC Machinist, or CNC Setup Technician.
Strong knowledge of Mazatrol conversational programming and/or G-code.
Experience with CNC turning, milling, or multitasking machines.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances.
Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Mazak Integrex, Quick Turn, or other Mazak CNC machine models.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and toolpath optimization.
Experience machining complex, close-tolerance components.

Responsibilities

Program and set up Mazak CNC machines.
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mazatrol and/or applicable G-code programming.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
Select cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and program prove-outs.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
Troubleshoot machining issues and improve cycle times and productivity.
Maintain quality standards, machine safety, and production schedules.
Work independently and collaborate with engineering and production teams.
