About The Position

At MMS, we know skilled maintenance technicians are the backbone of manufacturing. If you're the person everyone calls when a CNC line goes down, a servo faults out, or electrical issues need to be solved fast — this is the role built for you. We’re hiring experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialists to support advanced manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment in Lafayette, Indiana. This is not an entry-level maintenance role. We’re looking for technicians who can confidently troubleshoot CNC machinery, diagnose electrical issues, and keep production running safely and efficiently. This weekend shift is ideal for technicians who want a better work-life balance while still maximizing earnings. Work 3 nights per week and get paid for 40 hours.

Requirements

  • Strong electrical skills.
  • Comfortable around CNC equipment and industrial manufacturing systems.
  • CNC machine troubleshooting and repair.
  • Electrical diagnostics up to industrial manufacturing standards.
  • Reading electrical schematics.
  • Experience with motors, drives, relays, sensors, and control systems.
  • Preventive maintenance in manufacturing environments.
  • Mechanical repair experience alongside electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure during breakdown situations.
  • Ability to take pride in fixing problems correctly the first time.
  • Good communication skills with operators and teammates.
  • Desire to continue growing technical skillset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in loud industrial environments.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and work around production equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot CNC equipment, electrical systems, PLC-related faults, sensors, drives, motors, and production machinery to get operations back online quickly and safely.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and identify recurring issues before they become failures.
  • Work closely with operators and production teams to diagnose problems in real time.
  • Trace voltage issues or replace failed components.
  • Rebuild assemblies, perform precision adjustments, weld small repairs, or machine replacement parts.
