About The Position

We are looking for a CNC Maintenance & Facilities Technician located in Houston, TX. This is your opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet. The role involves installing and repairing facility equipment, testing and other production machinery, and maintaining the CNC Machinery maintenance program. The technician will troubleshoot facility and production issues, adhere to the Preventative Maintenance program, and coordinate maintenance activities with operations to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. The position requires ensuring maintenance is performed safely and effectively, completing weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks, and maintaining accurate records of work performed. A Job Safety Analysis (JSA) must be completed for irregular tasks. The role also includes maintaining accurate inventory records, providing status reports, conducting general cleanup, interacting professionally with various stakeholders, enforcing and training on the Lock Out Tag Out program, and providing technical support for continuous improvement. The technician will follow ISO 9001 Maintenance compliance procedures, interface with other departments on facility maintenance projects, assist with facilities and janitorial activities, participate in Lean events, and report unsafe acts or conditions immediately. Pre-employment requirements include a satisfactory MVR, drug & alcohol testing, and a criminal background check. The candidate must reside in Houston, TX, or surrounding areas. The work week is Monday-Friday, 5 AM-1:30 PM, with potential for daily overtime and weekend work. A competitive hourly rate and quarterly bonus eligibility are offered. On-the-job training is provided. Immigration sponsorship is not available. The work environment is a climate-controlled warehouse with a standing workstation, and strenuous work is often required. Uniforms and PPE (safety glasses and steel toes) are provided.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing (CNC) machinery maintenance and repair
  • Experience identifying problems and/or providing coordination of repairs for CNC Lathes, Manual Lathes, Mills, production testing and welding equipment
  • Experience in machine preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Experience with electrical and pneumatic equipment
  • Ability to have a flexible schedule and work varying hours, including outside of production activities
  • Must be able to work outdoors occasionally all year round
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Understand and follow verbal and written instruction
  • Must have a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good planning and priority setting skills
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hydraulic equipment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair facility equipment, testing and other production machinery
  • Maintain the maintenance program for CNC Machinery, identify problems and provide repair solutions
  • Troubleshoot facility and production issues due to maintenance or repair required
  • Adhere to the Preventative Maintenance program
  • Coordinate the maintenance of the building/facility including building repairs
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with operations to maximize productivity and minimize downtime of critical equipment
  • Ensure maintenance on production equipment and facility is performed safely, effectively, and expeditiously
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks on various equipment throughout the production areas of the plant
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed
  • Complete a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for most irregular tasks
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, provide regular status reports to Director of Operations
  • Conduct general cleanup to maintain the work area in an orderly condition
  • Interact in a professional manner with employees, vendors, suppliers, and contractors
  • Enforce the Lock Out Tag Out program and provide training when needed
  • Provide technical support to continuously improve process
  • Follow the ISO 9001 Maintenance compliance procedures and documentation
  • Interface closely with other departments to ensure projects involving facility maintenance are defined accurately and executed effectively
  • Assist with facilities and janitorial activities
  • Participate in Lean events with active involvement in CI initiatives
  • Report unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately as noticed
