About The Position

Performs various machining tasks to program, set up, and operate a CNC Lathe, Mill, or Multi Axis Machine. Measure and inspect all parts produced to API standards.

Requirements

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of 2 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and understand detailed instruction drawings and specifications on wellhead equipment and valves.
Ability to use micrometers and calipers
Knowledge of good document control and process flow.
Intermediate computer, language, and mathematical skills and advanced reasoning ability.
Knowledge of Quality systems
Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
Climb stairs and ladders
Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
Work in confined spaces when required
Operate heavy equipment and power tools
Perform repetitive movements
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Participate in regular safety training
Complete required safety certifications
Comply with all environmental regulations

Responsibilities

Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations
Ability to create new programs based on engineering drawings and specifications
Ability to program a variety of CNC controls
Familiar with Mazak machines and Mazatrol CNC controls
Deliver quality parts in a timely manner with limited scrap
Set up machinery for production runs
Identify and select proper machine tooling
Ensure that the production parts meet specifications and verify their quality according to API standards
Measure and inspect production parts using precision measuring toolings such as micrometers, calipers, plug gages, and thread gages
Follows lockout tag-out procedures
Keep machine and machining areas clean and free of debris
Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested
Work Overtime and or weekends as necessary to meet customer demand.
