About The Position

EMC Precision is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist Operator to be responsible for the CNC manufacturing of precision components on CNC Lathes. EMC Precision has provided complex parts in low- to mid-volume quantities expertly machined since 1925.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Fluent in Shop Math.
• Minimum of one year of shop experience.
• Solid work history.
• Must be able to frequently: push, pull, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, stand, see general and close up, hear, speak, use motor coordination - dexterity as well as eye, hand, foot and use of hand(s), wrist, arms, and fingers and arm(s) in any direction.
• Must be able to occasionally: kneel, stoop, bend, grip, climb flights of stairs.

Nice To Haves

• Lathe experience with live tooling (Y axis) and sub-spindle.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Lathes for precision component manufacturing.
• Read and interpret drawings.
• Read micrometers and other precision instruments.
• Calculate and adjust machine settings.
• Identify and solve problems.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area utilizing 5S techniques and methods.
• Perform daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment.
