The CNC Machinist will be responsible for performing various CNC machining operations on CNC mill and lathe. This role requires the ability to prepare and load raw materials, check and change parts on fixtures, and oversee machines during execution. The machinist will also be responsible for making tool offset changes to meet tolerance, using precision measuring devices, and following procedures and work instructions. Additionally, the role involves supporting equipment like Bridgeport mills, manual lathes, and grinders, and utilizing general knowledge of CAD/CAM systems. The machinist will use blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels, update and follow setup sheets, and set up Mill attachments such as 4th and 5th axis. Mathematical calculations related to machining parameters and programming simple parts are also key responsibilities. The role requires the ability to take direction, work with, and mentor operators.
