We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Medway manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality components that meet customer and engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has experience working in a precision manufacturing environment and is committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining preferred.
  • Experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Okuma and Haas CNC machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Team members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.
  • Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.
  • This position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.
  • Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machining centers to produce components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Program, edit, and troubleshoot CNC machines as needed to optimize production and quality.
  • Operate and maintain Okuma and Haas CNC machining equipment.
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments to ensure efficient production.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and standard work procedures.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
