CNC Machinist - Second Shift

Founded in 1899, we are a 100-employee designer & manufacturer of high-performance ball & specialty valves for sanitary & industrial applications, serving most major industries in the US. We are seeking a skilled Mazak CNC Operator to join our team in Irwin, PA to help set up, operate and maintain Mazak CNC lathes & mills using Mazatrol controls. The ideal candidate will produce high-quality machined parts according to engineering specifications while maintaining efficiency, safety & quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating Mazak CNC machines with Mazatrol controls in a production environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and verify material specs.
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling selection, and part inspection procedures.
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs safely.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Mazak CNC machines (lathes and mills) using Mazatrol controls.
- Perform all in-process inspections, including first article inspections, to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and dimensional tolerances.
- Load/unload parts using overhead cranes, deburr parts, and complete production documentation.
- Monitor tooling and tool life, minimize machine downtime, and communicate maintenance needs.
