About The Position

This role is responsible for all duties and responsibilities associated with a CNC Machine Operator. The machinist will follow the sequence of operations and set up requirements without supervision. They will be responsible for setting machine and tool offsets, and confirming other machinists' offsets on non-First Article parts. The role also involves providing technical assistance and coaching to CNC Machine Operators, maintaining adherence to the Production Dispatch List and Production metrics, and properly staging material, tools, and fixtures to support the production schedule for assigned machines while minimizing changeover time. Additionally, the machinist will provide feedback to Engineering and Quality to improve processes and reduce cycle times, troubleshoot and reestablish work and tool offsets within capabilities, controls, or control media as required to ensure quality of productions, and report all machine malfunctions to Maintenance or Application. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow sequence of operations and set up requirements without supervision
  • Proficiency in setting machine and tool offsets
  • Ability to confirm other Machinist’s offsets on non-First Article parts
  • Skills in providing technical assistance and coaching to CNC Machine Operators
  • Ability to maintain adherence to Production Dispatch List and Production metrics
  • Capability to properly stage material, tools, fixtures to support production schedule for assigned machines and minimize change over time.
  • Ability to provide feedback to Engineering and Quality to improve processes and reduce cycle times
  • Skills in troubleshooting and reestablishing work and tool offsets, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to ensure quality of productions.
  • Ability to report all machine malfunctions to Maintenance or Application
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
