About The Position

McWilliams Forge, now part of PCC since 2008, is a growing company that supports the aerospace industry. We are seeking a machinist familiar with turning machines to set up and operate a variety of machines in our machine shop, including milling, turning, drilling, and grinding. The ideal candidate will be able to work to close tolerances from drawings with little or no guidance. This position is for the overnight (3rd) shift, Monday-Friday, 10pm-6:15am.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience (3+ years)
• Willingness to learn
• Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials

Nice To Haves

• CNC programming experience (G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.)
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines)
• Load programs, install tooling, and set work offsets
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and supervisors to improve processes
