The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Machines with minimal instruction and supervision. This role involves validating machine programs and work instructions, detecting and correcting machining errors, and ensuring accuracy to meet production goals. The machinist will also be responsible for documenting actions, maintaining continuity between shifts, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Meeting production goals and adhering to safety policies are key aspects of this position. The role requires processing parts, conducting inspections to ensure dimensional and surface finish requirements are met, and proofing programs independently. A functional knowledge of Mazak, DMG Mori, and FANUC controlled CNC Horizontal Slant bed Lathes is a distinct advantage. The ability to set up machines and tooling, load/unload parts, enter offsets, determine optimal manufacturing plans, develop NC programs, and execute them is essential.
