About The Position

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for our second shift, which runs from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating CNC Lathes and Mills to machine parts in aluminum. Our facility is equipped with Okuma 10 SS and Okuma 12 machines with OSB 300L Control, featuring sub-spindle live tooling. The machines are 3-Axis, 4-Axis, and 5-Axis, and the lathes are equipped with bar feeders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills.
• Working knowledge of Algebra and Geometry.
• Ability to perform metric to imperial conversions.
• General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CNC Okuma and HAAS is a plus.
• OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for in process inspection using calipers and micrometers.
• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets and programs as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Must be able to work off of blueprints.
• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts.
• Perform basic maintenance to the machines, including weekly and monthly coolant maintenance.
• Help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc., as needed to keep parts moving.
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
• Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.
